How to install a WordPress Theme

Below are the steps to install a wordpress theme:

Using WordPress theme directory

  1. Log in to your worpdress admin backend
  2. Go to Appearance on the left hand side bar
  3. Go to Themes
  4. Click Add New
  5. No you can upload a new theme here or install it from wordpress theme directory.
  6. Lets try wordpress theme directory
  7. Search name you would like to install such as ‘Astra’
  8. Then click Install
  9. Once its installed click Activate.
  10. Now start customizing your theme to make a professional website.

Install WordPress theme from a downloaded Zip file

  1. Download Zip file from wordpress.org or themeforest etc.
  2. Now go to Appearance
  3. Go to Themes
  4. Click Add New
  5.  Upload zip file here
  6. Click Install
  7. Once theme is installed, click Activate
  8. Now start customizing your theme.
